The department of nursing and information technology center jointly planned and designed an attendance system with smart functions. The system can be used for attendance audit, schedule inquiry, leave application, or shift planning. The functional advantages that the system posses  include: (1) Smart judgment scheduling precision: Automatic calculation of the working hours and the visual data display are used to display the difference in the scheduled working hours using different color warning buttons (Figure 1). Floating windows display function are used to present the type of leave or cumulative hours in various shifts so that the scheduler can quickly obtain information and ensure scheduling accuracy. (2) Remarks description individualization: The scheduler can edit precautions or primary bed numbers (Figure 2) to allow the administrative manager or department scheduling colleagues to refer to information requiring attention, which is used as a reference for scheduling. (3) Real-time overtime frequency inspection: The red triangle symbol on the work schedule. This facilitates real-time reminder of the administrative manager, allows timely care of colleagues and adjust workload, increases colleague satisfaction and respond to departmental manpower adjustments. (4) Pay report management informatization: Night shift pay or overtime pay are automatically linked to shift code and attendance status are confirmed to automatically calculate night shift pay report and overtime duration. This not only simplifies the data audit process and can also prevent errors due to manual calculation. In addition, the attendance system APP developed by our hospital can be combined with smart phones to obtain real-time dynamic attendance information, including schedule inspection, day off application, and leave application without relying on computers. Mobile phone operation is simple, convenient, and instantaneous. During the COVID-19 pandemic, mobile phone leave application or uploading missing attachments were relatively convenient and the administrative manager could efficiently understand and manage schedule dynamics. Through digital technology transformation, smart nurse scheduling on the attendance system of our hospital is digital and easy-to-operate. At the same time, the system possess technological data verification, automatic calculation, personalized information annotation, and other advantages. This helps in real-time understanding of information and human resource management.
